Anne Stasko
Born in Germany into a family deeply rooted in architecture, landscape design, education, and missionary work, Anne Stasko grew up surrounded by creativity, service, and a love for culture and travel. Through her university studies in Germany, Anne became an engineer in spatial planning and urban design. She worked alongside planners and architects on major European urban projects, where she combined technical expertise with a human-centered vision of community building.
After immigrating to the United States, Anne graduated from the Goethe-Institut and became a certified German language teacher (DaF – Deutsch als Fremdsprache). Today, she teachers German to adults, families, and business professionals, blending cultural immersion and practical communication across all proficiency levels.
Anne delights in teaching young minds, nurturing their curiosity and confidence as they discover their own voices. At The School for Young Performers, she teaches German as a world language, culture, and history, as well as serving as an Olympiad-Beta mentor, guiding students in exploring the potentials and limitations of AI tools in spatial planning and urban design. Through this innovative work, she encourages young learners to think critically about technology, creativity, and sustainability.
