Janice Lanzetta

Janice Lanzetta is a 20-year veteran English and Humanities teacher.  She has mostly taught upper school courses, from advanced honors/accelerated coursework to differentiating general education classes for students with special needs.  She has also spent much of her teaching career readying students for college, including assisting them with college essays, preparing them for standardized tests, and counseling them on their college choices. Janice is a volunteer mentor for the Mount Vernon Star Scholars where she helps students from underserved neighborhoods achieve academic success and attend highly competitive universities.  After her retirement, Janice began the second part of her teaching career and is proud to be part of the staff of The School for Young Performers.
