Nicole James brings a rich international perspective and an interdisciplinary teaching philosophy to her role as a humanities educator. Born in Switzerland, raised in South Africa, and now living in London, she draws on her diverse background to make European history meaningful, engaging, and relevant to both children and teenagers. She holds a Bachelor of Education and a Postgraduate Honours in Inclusive Education, allowing her to blend academic depth with creativity, warmth, and a holistic understanding of how young people learn best.

Nicole’s SYP classroom is a space where mentorship meets scholarship and where history leaps off the page. She regularly takes her students on immersive field trips to British museums, historical walking tours, and cultural exhibitions, turning lessons into exciting journeys of discovery. Nicole believes that learning should feel alive, inspiring students to explore the world with curiosity and confidence. With a commitment to nurturing confidence, creativity, curiosity, and critical thought, she empowers young learners to understand not only the world around them but also their place within it.
